The first day of the Mozilla Festival has kicked off starting with the Hive Learning Network event.
The Hive Learning Network event included various digital technology activities with professional specialists in digital technology such as, Chris Lawrence, Cydney Gray and Jess Klien.
The event started off well with Woolwich Poly school students arriving to enjoy a range of activities such as, designing apps, becoming a reporter, thinking and talking about technology they like and expressing freedom through multi platform devices, such as phones, and the Internet. The activities got people included with fun interactions like drawing and producing interviews as a reporter.
These activities are produced to show people, students how technology can play a significant part in learning.
I spoke to Harry from the company Neon Tribe about designing applications. He explained the simple process of the activity he was using to educate people, student’s, on developing ideas into apps. He used a clever example of how an app could be designed for a teacher to teach 5 year old children about music.
Throughout the day many other people have enjoyed these activities and probably met and enjoyed an interaction with the Mozilla Mascots, The Foxes on arrival.
Tomorrow, The Mozilla Festival starts its second day with a very busy and exciting schedule of events!
