Cydney Gray works for an organisation called The Dream Yard Project, it is a project based in schools in the Bronx. Its aim is to provide art’s based learning initiatives. Children each learn in different ways, so if a child doesn’t understand a subject in the way it is being taught by the teacher, the dream yard coaches are there to teach using a method,(i.e. using drawing, music, poetry, drama etc). These coaches are professional artists who are placed in the classroom for up to a year. Along side the teaching support these coaches provide they also work with the teachers to organise art projects for the students.
